in the village again, I will not. I am even close to bringing my family here.”

Sani asked,

“Are you going to bring your family into this house? You told me you live in fear here
because they can dismiss you at any time.”

Isa said,

“May Allah protect me. I will not bring my family into this house. I will rent a place.”

They continued their conversation, discussing city life and village life.

She looked at her watch again. It was already fifteen minutes to twelve.

She stood up with her proud and commanding walk and went out into the compound. She went
straight to the gate, where the security man sat with his friend Sani, eating groundnuts
and chatting.

He tried to kneel, but she stopped him.

“If they belong to me, then bring my keys. I have dismissed you. The guard will be given
your money to hand over to you. From today, let this be a lesson to you. Keeping promises
is important, and fulfilling an appointment is a sign of trustworthiness.”

She continued firmly,

“The working hours for which I employed you belong to me, not to you, because I pay you.
Therefore, except for worship, you must seek my permission before doing anything, no
matter how important it may be, since I pay you.”

After finishing her statement, she waited for him to hand over the keys.
